My daughter has connected with a class in Altindag, Ankara, Turkey via an educational website (epals.com). They are just learning English and she does not know any Turkish. There are some communication difficulties we would like to overcome, as I am so pleased that she has the opportunity to learn from these wonderful students. We have tried using Babelfish and Google Translate but I find that the translations are terrible. Is there a better resource? Thanks so much for any and all suggestions.|||turkish grammar is the opposite of european languages' grammar. online translators dont work. you'll either translate word by word to get the meaning, or ask in a forum like this, for important sentences|||The translations are awful because the grammatical structure of English and Turkish are completely different.
Whenever there is an important piece of information that should be translated ( which is not very long nor very private), you can put it up in Travel / Europe/ Turkey section , and people ( including me if I see it on time ) will translate it for you.|||Although it won't translate full sentences, the best site is sesli sozluk. It will help you translate just about anything.
