i'm going to try to make this short, when i was is 6th grade i had to choose a foreign language to study for the next year and i always wanted to take german but there wasn't that option in school! so i took spanish but i don't like it. and i already speak french fluently. I'm stuck with spanish still being a 9th grader. anyway i have to translate a text from english to german and google translations are NO GOOD, i know it. it has loads of mistakes. does anyone know good sites that can translate correctly from one language to another, you know something really reliable, if you're german and you know a translation site that does it correctly tell me!
thanks!|||Unfortunately you're not going to find a perfect web translator; languages are too complex to be translated properly by a computer program. Google has one of the better translators out there, but even that is riddled with errors. You're better off translating it on your own and then coming here for feedback.|||No site like that exists. Things can't always be translated word for word/phrase for phrase (most translators have certain phrases in their, like "ama de casa," which literally means "love of the house," actually translates to "housewife.") However, entire sentences cannot be perfectly translated electronically. Besides phrases, there are also differences in grammar, and it just can't be done. A computer works too systematically, while the mind works in the abstract, and languages are abstract, so there are no perfect translators.
