Because i want to learn a bit of italian... but when i typed in goodbye, it said that the italian word for it is addio! i thought... thats spanish isnt it? and then i typed it in on google how to say goodbye in italian.... it said a completely different word! if it is not accurate then can you send me a link to an accurate translator please if u have one? thanks.|||No. It's sometimes accurate for very short phrases and sentences, sometimes isn't, and it's pretty much never accurate for longer sentences.
There are no accurate translators. The only accurate translation you can get is with single words, and in that case, it's called a dictionary. If you want common phrases, use Google to find common Italian phrases.
Spanish is "adi贸s," by the way. Italian and Spanish are related languages. And there can be more than one word for "goodbye" in a language.
You don't use a translator or dictionary to learn a language anyway. That will teach you a whole lot of nothing about the grammar.|||It can be sometimes, but it definitely isn't a tool you want to use to start off learning a language. Taking classes would be best, but if you don't want to do that you should look at tutorials online.
This website might be a good place to start.

With that you can at least introduce yourself to the language and learn a few things, I haven't looked at Italian but the French lessons are pretty helpful so the Italian lessons probably are too.|||http://www.lingoes.net/
It's a free dictionary and full text translation software. There's lots of languages available.|||Try this http://translate.google.com/
