I want to get "fly on your own wings" or "fly with your own wings" tattoo'd on my wrist in French. All the translations I find on Google translate back to English as feet instead of wings. Can anyone translate those two things properly for me? Thanks.|||In a casual way you would use second person of singular:
Vole de tes propres ailes.
In a more `respectual and polite`way you would use second person of plural:
Volez de vos propres ailes.
If you put the verb in infinitive, it would be:
Voler de ses propres ailes.
Hope Ithis helps!:)|||ln French you say : volez de vos propres ailes.
Voler DE ses propes ailes, to stand on one's own two feet.
http://fr.wiktionary.org/wiki/voler_de_s鈥?/a>|||volez sur vos propres ailes -or- volez avec vos propres ailes (more formal)
vole sur tes propres ailes -or- vole avec vos propres ailes (more familiar)
(sur = on; avec = with)
