So, how accurate is Google Translate?|||if you know the way to set up a sentance, like the structure, then use it to translate one word at a time and put them together in the structure. it does NOT translate well. i type in spanish and it comes out horribly mangled in English. the grammar is terrible|||Its very good for one word translations. Passages not so much, but if you are translating in your target language, it will be help for helping you understand the passage/song/ article etc. But I wouldn't recommend using it to talk to other people.|||It depends on the language difficulty.
like for example. Arabization is so difficult because of variation of words according to their positions in the sentence.
I don't know about other languages as i'm not concerned with.
anyways, GT is terrible when the sentence is a bit complicated|||A tad more accurate than looking up every word in a dictionary one by one.
In other words, instant fail mark if you use it.
GT and any other online translator right now is only good to get a general grasp of what it says. Nothing more.|||Not very, like Scott said it's only close sometimes. You can't really rely on it to correctly translate full passages.|||It's not. It'll be close sometimes but it's
not meant for exams or reports.|||It can be used as a dictionary but not translator.
